    This book contains the papers that were presented at the International Congress on Islamic Arts and Crafts which was organized by IRCICA and the Organisation of Culture and Islamic Relations, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Islamic Republic of Iran. The congress was held in Isfahan, on 4-9 October 2002. 75 research papers were presented by specialists from 33 countries; 55 of them are compiled in the book. The papers are on various subjects including Islamic architecture; calligraphy; illumination; miniatures; traditional textiles, embroidery and costumes; tiles and ceramics; jewelry; papermaking, bookbinding, marbled paper; woodworks; metal crafts. The congress was accompanied by exhibitions. The book is abundantly illustrated with samples of works.
