Proceedings of the Fifth International Congress on Islamic Civilization in the Balkans

The Fifth international congress on the theme “Islamic Civilization in the Balkans” was jointly organized by IRCICA and the University of Sarajevo, on 21-23 May 2015. 60 papers were presented. In his keynote remarks at the congress, Prof. Enes Karić from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Sarajevo University, ex-Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Bosnia and Herzegovina (1994-96), underlined the importance of the theme that transcended the academic field, reaching beyond national education systems and particular historical epochs. With its articles contributed by prominent experts, the book is an important reference in its field.
