Views Of The Islamic Heritage: A Selection Of Winning Works In The International Photography Competition, 1994

IRCICA served as the Secretariat and Executive Organ of the International Commission for the Preservation of Islamic Cultural Heritage (ICPICH), another OIC subsidiary which was active from 1983 to 2000 until its merger with IRCICA. In that capacity, IRCICA organized the International Photography Competition on the occasion of the Islamic Heritage Year 1410 H. which was dedicated to the theme of “Islamic Cultural Heritage”: 229 participants from 26 countries participated in the competition with a total of 1500 photographs. 32 photographs and transparencies won awards. The winners were announced on 31 August 1989. This publication contains the award-winning works, with explanations.
