This book contains the papers presented during the international congress organized by IRCICA and Tabriz Islamic Arts University, Tabriz, Islamic Republic of Iran, in 2013. The articles are accompanied by photographs of handicrafts from various regions of the world. The congress, titled “Features, Characteristics and Cultural and Economic Contribution of Arts and Handicrafts”, was attended by experts and researchers working for the study and development of handicrafts sectors in various countries. The articles address diverse issues such as skill development and professional organization of artisans, marketing and property regulation of products, international exchanges and cooperation. The book has 643 pages, 341 in English and 302 in Arabic. It is richly illustrated.
